FAQ's

Cryogenic treatment is applicable for metals and non metals, ferrous and non ferrous materials. Most of the materials can be cryogenically treated depending on applications where it has been used.

Sub-zero treatment is also called as Shallow Cryogenic Treatment which is performed at-90degree Celsius whereas Deep Cryogenic Treatment is performed at-196Celsius. Deep Cryogenic Treatment is superior as compared to Sub-zero treatment when it comes to performance evaluation.

Deep Cryogenic Treatment is 60-65 hrs process. It takes almost 3 working days for the entire process.

In general No, However there can be increase of 1 HRC hardness without any increase a brittleness of material.

No. Deep Cryogenic treatment is not a substitute for Heat Treatment process. Deep Cryogenic Treatment is also called as secondary Hardening process which has to performed after Heat Treatment process.

There will not be any change in appearance and dimension  of material. however in case of gauges, we recommend to perform Deep Cryogenic Treatments after hear treatment before final machining operation.

No. Deep Cryogenic Treatment is one time permanent treatment which last entire life of tools.
